FOUNDATION
Trafileria Lariana was founded in 1969 as a small artisanal business in the Lecco area, a region with a strong and long-standing steelmaking tradition. It quickly stood out for the high quality of its products and its ability to create special drawn steel products.

FROM ARTISAN TO INDUSTRY
In 1976, a new facility opened in Garbagnate Monastero, transitioning into an industrial plant. Over time, the site expanded to cover 10,000 square meters, integrating all production processes under one roof.

LEAP FORWARD
In 2000, a new production site was established in Sirone, featuring annealing facilities for heat treatment of wire rod and drawn coils, as well as a covered storage area for semi-finished products.

NEW ROOTS
In 2007, the company relocated its Garbagnate Monastero facilities to Barzago, to a state-of-the-art industrial site with fully modernized equipment.

IN THE SUNLIGHT
In 2011, aligning with company values of environmental respect and community engagement, we installed a photovoltaic system, achieving significant energy independence while minimizing natural resource consumption.

A GLOBAL VISION
On a 20,000 sqm site, Trafileria Lariana operates production plants, water treatment facilities, warehouses, and office spaces. This industrial complex, built entirely with the company’s resources, reflects its evolution and pride.

PARTNERING WITH ORI MARTIN
In October 2019, the Ori Martin Group, specializing in quality steel production, acquired 70% ownership of Trafileria Lariana Drawing Steel Spa. This milestone integrated Trafileria Lariana into a leading group of over 10 diversified companies with a strong presence in European and global markets.

NEW POSSIBILITIES
In 2020, a new wire-drawing line was installed, enabling production of coils with a maximum diameter of 40mm, covering the entire dimensional range provided by steel mills.
This investment expanded the product range, ensuring comprehensive service for a dynamic market.

ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION
In February 2024, Trafileria Lariana Drawing Steels Spa achieved certification of its Environmental Management System in compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
This milestone underscores the company’s commitment to sustainability, ensuring proper management of processes and products while continually reducing environmental impact.

In addition to standard formats, we manufacture square, hexagonal, and semi-round sections, custom-designed bars, and cut-to-length material according to client specifications.
